Burton Cliff, late afternoon, March 2010

The cliffs that lie between West Bay and Burton Bradstock in Dorset are part of England's internationally important Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This status has been awarded because of the areas outstanding geology. Burton Cliff is composed of Bridport Sand, topped in places with Inferior Oolite (oolitic limestone), which is rich in fossils.
