Bamford Edge and Ladybower Reservoir, April 2009

Golden sunshine escapes from between rain-filled clouds, casting a warm glow across the eroded sandstone escarpment of Bamford Edge. The lower section of the massive Ladybower Reservoir looks like liquid silver caught in the landscape's fold. Double-humped Crook Hill rises directly behind the water, with Kinder Scout to the left and Bleaklow forming the far horizon.
