Looking northeastwards down Glen Torridon, carved into a broad shaped by glaciation. In the distance the waters of Loch Bharranch are just visible. Beinn Eighe rises to a majestic 1010 metres. Although primarily composed of Torridonian sandstone, the summits are light-coloured quartzite. The northern part of this peak is included in the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve.
