Causey Pike and Grisedale Pike, moonset, February 2010
The setting moon descends over the summits of Causey Pike (637m) and the snow-topped Crag Hill (839m), both of which rise on the western side of the Borrowdale Valley, above Derwent Water in Cumbria. On the far right hand side Grisedale Pike is topped with a smattering of snow, while some of the Derwent Fells are visible on the left. Clouds swirling around the felltops are softly illuminated by the moon's pale glow.
