Cuckmere Haven, meandering river, May 2009
The meandering River Cuckmere flows through fertile flood plains as it winds its way down to the join the English Channel. The area is generally referred to as Cuckmere Haven and the river eventually leads to the famous Seven Sisters white chalk cliffs. The plain is grazed by livestock and is visited by many bird species.
