Grindon Moor, barrow with earthworks, December 2005
Grindon Moor barrow is situated far above the Manifold and Hamps Valley. Its round shape, suggests that it is a Bronze Age barrow. Unusually it features a Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) tree growing from its middle.
